There is a space that I enter when I create.

A space that reflects myself, and all that surrounds me.

A space where I express myself freely, a space where I problem solve.

I am safe from external pressures, I am safe with myself.

I create from a place of wonder, adoration and worship.

Worship for all that once was, what is, and what will be.

I dedicate myself to the practice of creation.

I devote my soul to the process.

I wish for my art to be a celebration of life, nature and the perseverance of the human spirit.

There is a light that never goes out.

Life is suffering, life is joy.

Abbey Reid is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Victoria, Australia.

Her exploration of dichotomies in life is vibrantly illustrated through abstraction and interactive mixed-media installations.

These immersive hand-made works make use of space and movement to provide an elevated sensory experience.
